Naturally, the Approach S70 is packed with numerous improvements over its predecessor. Chief amongst which is its all-new AMOLED touchscreen which is offered in 1.4-inches for the 47mm variant, or 1.2-inches for the 42mm. Garmin says this new display offers users with a brighter and more vibrant viewing experience under sunlight, as well as featuring an optional Always-On mode. Despite the difference in sizes, both options sport the same design, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 5 ATM water resistance, and have silicone bands. However, the larger model is only available in a black colour option, whereas the 42mm version is offered in either white or grey colours. Features-wise, the new Garmin Approach S70 comes with the usual smart functions, as well as typical health tracking features for heart rate, stress, Pulse OX, hydration, sleep and stress monitoring. Apart from that it also comes with 43,000 preloaded courses, an improved Virtual Caddie that feeds you with important details such as club suggestions, an enhanced PlayLike Distance feature that provides an analytical estimate of how a shot will play, and a huge list of built-in sports modes for your non-golfing activities. The Garmin Approach S70 is slated to be available in Malaysia starting 13 July via the brand’s stores nationwide, as well as through its online stores on Shopee, Lazada and AECO Shop. The 47mm option is priced at RM3,460, while the smaller 42mm version is priced at RM3,210. (Source: Garmin Malaysia press release)
