Just in case you missed it, the eBeliaRahmah initiative was introduced during Belanjawan 2023 earlier this year, and was later announced by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Parliament last week that a rollout is expected to occur towards the end of this month. It was also previously revealed that the government has allocated a total of RM400 million for disbursement, with the aim to aid youths youths aged 18 to 20 as well as full-time students at higher learning institutes.

The redeemed e-wallet credit can be used at any retailers or merchants that accept DuitNow QR code-based payments via Boost, Setel or TnG eWallet. In addition, the ministry also noted that the credit can only be used “offline” only, and must be spent before 31 August 2023.
Apart from that, MOF said e-wallet providers are also expected to offer a number of additional benefits to further aid eligible users. These include the likes of vouchers, cashback or reward point discounts throughout the period. On that note, all three service providers have yet to announce their respective incentives.
