Every year Apple launches offers for U.S. college students with student discounts of up to 5-10% on the purchase of eligible products in addition to added benefits. Traditionally, Apple offers free AirPods to students on eligible purchases. However, this year, Apple is offering gift cards instead.
$150 gift card & discount on AppleCare+ plans
This year, Apple’s Back to School program is offering Apple Store gift cards that can be redeemed for Apple products. Here is the list of eligible Macs for obtaining a gift card worth $150:
M1 13-inch MacBook Air M2 13-inch MacBook Air M2 15-inch MacBook Air M2-series MacBook Pro M1 iMac
A surprise addition to this list of eligible Macs is the 15-inch MacBook Air powered by Apple Silicon M2 which was announced just a day ago at the WWDC event. While the above mentioned Macs will get customers a $150 Apple Store gift card, the tech giant is offering a $100 gift card on the purchase of M2 powered Mac mini, thus bringing down its price from $599 to $499. In addition to Macs, the Back to School promo will also offer a $100 gift card on the purchase of a new iPad Air and iPad Air. Apple is also offering a 20% discount on AppleCare+ plans for those customers who purchase a two-year AppleCare+ plan for an iPad and a three-year AppleCare+ plan in case of a Mac device. Notable, the gift card and discount on AppleCare+ plans are in addition to the 5-10% discount that Apple usually offers to students. The 2023 Back to School offer will be available until October 2, 2023. As per Apple’s terms and conditions on the official Back to School offer page, the Apple Education Pricing is available to current and newly accepted university students and their parents, as well as teachers and staff at all levels. To avail of the offer, one needs to visit Apple’s online education store or a physical Apple Store with a valid student ID.
